Project Planner Profile : Hailu Tadesse Frew

Hailu Tadesse Frew (or simply Hailu) is a Business Economist working in the fields of Trade, industry , (including small business enterprise ) , Transport operation, and promotion of Tourism industry. He have MA in Economics, diploma in community development, and is certified in cooperative organization.

He has attended and participated in different management and economic training courses, workshops, seminars, symposiums and meetings, where he acquired many of the useful tools, techniques, and methods of solving most of the problems that , a  business organization could face including MSEs. His training includes, project planning; evaluation and monitoring; cooperatives organization, Quality management, patent rights , strategic management He has also taken the course of business consulting tools thought by Mr. Ed Canela in Addis Ababa and have acquired valuable knowledge of business consulting tools for private sector entrepreneurs and SMEs. He also has good computing skill with Word, Excel , power point and Database management.

For the last 20 years Hailu had been working different parts of the country, in the governmental institutions, facilitating and consulting MSEs, NGOs, and donor organizations, that are working together with the Governmental institutions to promote and develop the rural and urban socioeconomic growth of Ethiopia. And Besides that, he had worked as a  community development, trade promoter, project planner. As a project planner and proposal writer, he has written, proposals on Regional Industrial Resource potential study: Capacity Building for Micro and Small Enterprise Operators; Local area network formation for connecting of the Regional Bureau with Zonal Department officers for exchange of data and information using computerized system.

Hailu speaks and writes English and Russian from foreign languages and has a good understanding of most of the local languages that are spoken by the majority  of the Ethiopian population. He is married and is a father of two suns.

As the present time Hailu is working in one of the government institutions as a Project Planner and Programmer, facilitating and accomplishing, activities that are related to , Trade, Industry, Tourism and Transport activities. Setting periodical plans; collecting, analyzing   and distributing data and information; preparing periodical reports; and writing project proposals are among the duties and responsibilities that he is engaged.
