PROFILE of Imawayish Melese

Imawayish Melesse is interested in various development issues on culture gender and women entrepreneurship she is Language folklore researcher by profession.

She has attended various trainings, seminars and workshops on culture, folklore and gender trainings on gender in leadership and decision-making, gender responsive planning TOT in MSES. She has attended a training programme on" Gender and Managment"at Addis Ababa University.

Organize various seminars, workshops, training and literary competition for women writers. She has published a book of Amharic Proverbs , colleted and documented Traditional songs, proverbs; tales of Ethiopian nationalties.

Imawayish Melesse has worked as team leader in the Academy of Ethiopian Languages.

in the Ministry of Culture form 1980-1996.She has worked with the of ministry of Information and Culture as gender expert form 1996-2001.Form 2001till now she is working with the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the Department of women's affair as Gender and Training Expert.
